I was just going to post about this. I think he's paid his dues, but as an educator my career would be over and athletes are supposed to be role models too.

I have very mixed feelings about him getting a contract....yes he did his time but when I hear what he did to dogs (can't even type it....we know anyway), I can't reconcile it in my head.

Belita, has a good point about how certain professions wouldn't allow the person back. What I would like to see him do is a ton of public service/anti-cruelty ads on TV throughout the country to get through to people that hurting an animal is cruel and completely unacceptable. 

Also, the laws need to change big time in every state to put people away for a considerable amount of time if they are caught doing such horrific things.
