I love the fact that I can walk for miles in England in August without feeling ill from the heat the moment I step outside.

I walk whenever I have the opportunity.

No offense, but I wouldn't be caught dead stepping out of the house in my pajamas, nor can I see its appeal.  :-\\\\

This comment could only come from someone who didn't have the quint essential American college experience. Going to class in my PJ's was a thrill!

The worst part of drive-thru's was when they were open late, but the inside was not and you didn't have a car.

Um ... I've never done that. And I think my college experience was pretty full. Class in PJs?? Really? Do people do that? I don't think I ever saw anyone in their PJs in class!  :o

Yes, loads of people do that. Especially for the classes earlier than 11!

Well, we all know that we have different experiences in life and the fact that you did not experience that does not mean our experiences are made up.  :P  ;)

Seriously, though, I thought that was something that only happened at women's colleges.

Not in my experience!

I think we tended to get dressed but then when I was in college pajamas looked like pajamas.  Now they're more serious.
I did walk the dog last week in pajamas but that was out in the boonies and I've been known to pick children up late at night in my pjs.

Drive-throughs give me performance anxiety. I actually rehearse my order while I'm waiting my turn, and even then I usually screw it up somehow.

Yeah. I know.

It's even worse when you have an English accent  ;). My first, and last, solo drive through experience was nearly 20 years ago now, but etched in the memory. You'd have thought I was speaking Martian by the 'huh?' response every time I repeated myself. I drove off empty handed and have never been back since without an American to translate  :).

Not in my experience!

I remember American students would often come to meals in my halls of residence (Edinburgh) in their PJs.  Quite bizarre.

Nope, I definitely went to college.  ::)  Though not sure what a "quint" is?

When I was in college, people definitely went to class in their PJs (the t-shirt & pajama pants variety.)

I remember when I studied abroad in Sheffield another American student came down to the dining room in halls for breakfast in her PJs and got told to go back and get dressed by the serving ladies!
Now a triple citizen!

Student visa 9/06-->Int'l Grad Scheme 1/08-->FLR(M) 7/08-->ILR 6/10-->British citizenship 12/12

Interesting - so knowing you'll be sat in your car for a hour makes it nice to also sit in your car whilst at a shop....would have thought stretching the legs would be nice!
