After watching last nights result I had to literally not speak for 20 minutes as I was that angry.

I'm not taking Simon's side or anything, but it was brought down to the public vote and unless he knew she had the lowest vote, we can't blame it all on him.  It was a terrible song choice for her (on Saturday), she sang it poorly, the public voted.  Louis keeps giving John and Edward mostly talking songs with lots going on, people are being entertained and not paying attention to the fact they can't sing which is why they seem to stick around.

I do hope this trend comes to an end soon and Louis is forced to give them something where there's actual singing involved without all of the extras.

Simon was still a d*** for taking it to the public vote and not just putting an end to John and Edward right then.

They might as well change the format to it being all down to the public vote because every freaking week it goes to deadlock because they are all too chicken to vote anyone off themselves.

They didn't used to be so chicken, though. I remember in the first year, Simon even voted off one of his own acts!

I have to admit that John and Edward probably sang their best last night, to be honest. I mean, they aren't great singers, but they did sound better on their sing-off song than in other performances they gave. I'm not a Whitney fan, so Lucie's song didn't do it for me, but clearly based on singing ability she was the better singer by far. She did look pretty happy until Simon said he would take it to public vote, I bet she never thought he would choose the twins over her. Boy was she wrong!  :-X

I think it was most shocking because everyone thought Simon would take the first opportunity to get rid of the twins, but maybe he took it to public vote just for shock value, since everyone expected him to toss them out. Maybe he didn't really expect they would have more votes, but either way, it was a controversial decision. I still don't want Simon to win this year, because he's such a know-it-all pratt. I don't like Louis, either, he is a childish PITA who annoys me every week. I wish they would get rid of him. I sort of liked Dannii until her comments about Danyl's preference for boys and whatnot, which I thought was unprofessional and just uncalled for. So, I hope Cheryl wins again this year with Joe. I think Joe is a great singer with a lot of potential, if she starts giving him more interesting songs.

The thing is... this has accomplished exactly what Simon wanted - I think it was a stroke of genius. Everyone is talking about the show (and about him), the twins won't win (he knows people are getting bored of it and that was proven by the fact they were in the bottom two), more people will probably tune in now to view the outrage and more importantly more people will probably vote now to try to make sure their person isn't kicked out at the twins' expense.... I do think he was being hypocritical, but they all are - I mean Louis criticised Simon for giving Olly a "silly song" and then had the twins singing Ghostbusters!

Dannii's my favourite. I think what she said to Danyl was a joke that fell flat. I still love her ... oh, and the past two nights? She has looked FABULOUS! I can't stand Cheryl. Never have liked her, never will. You can dress her up, but she's still an ASBO waiting to happen. Simon is just Simon, y'know? Louis is definitely a pain, but he makes me laugh with his nitpicking over the rules all the time. I kind of like him, even though I know I shouldn't.

There's a big move now for people to vote the twins to victory to spite Simon! I'm not sure it'll happen, but still.

Simon has said that he was convinced Lucie was safe, which is why he took it to the public vote. Hmmm...

I think I must have missed something during the show... what did she say?????

Danyl performed the song "And I am Telling You" during diva week, but with the lyrics changed from the song being about a man to being about a woman and Dannii said something like "From what I have read in the papers, you didn't need to change the lyrics to make it about a woman, it would've fit for you anyway" or something along those lines, not a direct quote. It just came out like she was making an issue of him being gay or bisexual or whatever, and Danyl gave this little whisper "I am not ashamed" after she said that, which made everyone feel she was putting him down.

I think Dannii looks very plastic, like she has had too much work done, her smile looks so fake. I also wasn't keen on her asymetrical hair last night and I thought the Princess Leia looking dress on Saturday was a bit silly.

I think Cheryl is gorgeous and I love her accent. She seems like a genuine person to me. She's the one of the two I would much rather have tea with. :)

Everyone's always so down on Simon, and yes he's inconsiderate and too rich and has teeth that can be seen from space, but I nearly always agree with his assessments of the performances, and I am so f-ing sick of Louis smirking and saying "See?  See?  I told you the twins are pop stars.  See? I was right, I was RIGHT" that I would rather see them gone to spite Louis than see them stay to spite Simon.

Dannii has definitely had a lot of work done, but she has given up on the Botox now so she's much more natural-looking than she used to be. As for the dress on Saturday? I was in awe about how gorgeous it was!! You really didn't like it?!?! Wow!

To me Cheryl is a bit rough.

I loved Dannii's dress on Sunday night, actually. But the one on Saturday, when she came out with the Star Wars music playing was a bit cheesy, I thought, though in a different context, I would've really liked it, if that makes sense. If she had just worn the dress on a different night without that music, I would've liked it more, I guess.

I think you just don't have much love for the Geordie accent. I think if she had a BBC accent you wouldn't think she was rough. It's ok, Geordies aren't for everyone! I'd just as soon that everyone didn't know how wonderful the people are here and how nice the scenery is so we can keep our wide open spaces.  ;D

LOL! No, I'm not a fan of most accents, that's true. But my opinion of Cheryl stems more from her past life getting into brawls and hurling racist insults at people.  :-\\\\

sooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo not cool. joke or not, you just don't say stuff like that. oh yeah, she's on my list of people i want to punch in the face now.

Totally and completely agree.  I don't think there's many times I don't agree with Simon.
And Louis is sounding like a broken record with all this business about "the rules".  Really irritating.

ETA:  I wouldn't really punch anyone in the face.  I'm very non-agressive.

I don't really read or pay attention to the celebrity scoops, and some things I just wouldn't know about because I wasn't living here when the scandal was publicised. If that's the case, then it is unfortunate, and I wouldn't agree with that sort of behaviour. (It is also surprising to me that she would say racist things considering who she married.) At any rate, I like Cheryl and Dannii (and Simon, if I wasn't so angry with him at the moment!) far better than I like Louis. He annoys me so much!

At least you and Cheryl are on the same side as far as Danyl is concerned!  :)

Totally and completely agree.  I don't think there's many times I don't agree with Simon.

yep.
