I heard on the news that Louis Walsh has pulled out of tonight's show due to Stephen Gately's death.

So long, Kandy Rain. I don't think their outfits did them any favours, but ultimately they went because they couldn't carry a tune.

I do wish the vile twins had gone, though.

I thought the whole Danyl/Dannii thing overshadowed his performance and any proper judging of it, which was a shame. I've liked him well enough until now, but I thought that performance was pretty dreadful, if I'm honest.

My top picks are still Lucy and Jamie.

I thought Joe did really well, but I find him so dull that I started playing Word Twist during his song. And Stacie was very good too - but she and Joe are the same to me. As soon as they open their mouths to speak (rather than sing), I want to chop my ears off. I like Miss Frank, too, but really only because of the rapper girl. She's fab. The other two are just sort of filler to me.

And I may be the only one here, but I love Olly. I think that song was all wrong for him, but I do like him lots. I hope he has the chance to sing stuff that suits him and that he does well ... just not as well as Lucy or Jamie.

Oh, and that Scottish git in the ridiculous hat needs to go too. My ears! Oh, my ears!

Awww.... you don't like the Geordie accent? I love it, me, like.  ;)

I really like Joe, aside from the fact that he is from our neck of the woods. He's the best of the boys, that's for sure. I really don't think much of Lloyd. I mean, I don't see the point of doing Timberlake's song in the same style, but skipping the high notes that are key to the song.
:-\\\\ Why bother?

I agree with Kandy Rain going.

I wish the git would go and take his evil eyebrow with him! or pluck the darn thing!

Anyone else think that Stacy is just a bit annoying. I mean yeah she can sing! but my goodness! listening to her talk all I can think is Catherine Tate doing Lauren Cooper! and I just cannot take her seriously.

I want to like her because she has a gorgeous singing voice and I know she's a good kid ... but the accent! AAAACK!

Sorry, Jewlz!

I didn't mind Lloyd. He wasn't anything amazing, but he did actually surprise me. I thought he was going to be dreadful!

Stacey is like 2 different people!! I don't see how she's going to be an international star unless she has elocution lessons. Sorry if I sound  snobby but the way she talks really lets her down ...

I think Joe is adorable! If I was a teenager I'm sure I could have a huge crush on him.

I think he's so boring! But then I feel that way about the Jonas Brothers and loads of other successful singers teenagers seem to love. Well ... teenagers and you, Shahbanou!  ;) :-*

I was glad to see Kandy Rain go. I never thought they could carry a tune anyway.

I still don't like Danyl and hope that the stupid comment by Dannii doesn't suddenly get him a lot of sympathy votes that keep him in. If he's kept in because people actually like him then fair enough but I hate when sympathy votes keep people in when they would normally already be gone. She was stupid to say it but it doesn't make him a good act.

Joe is a cutie but I'm not overly impressed with any of the boys to be honest.

I still like Stacey and Lucie. Stacey's accent would probably annoy me if it wasn't for her personality. It just adds to her quirkiness and likability for me.

I expect Stacey would drive me mad if I had to spend any time with her, but in short snippets on TV, I think she's adorable.

I have to confess I do like Ollie.  And Joe.  Lloyd I'm kind of meh about.  He's very cute but I don't know if he's really a performer.

I really liked Rachel's performance this week, I don't think she deserved to be in the bottom two.

In previous years, when they announce who the bottom two are, the judges have been on stage with their acts. Have they stopped doing that? Or was it just because Louis wasn't there?

I'm torn about the Dannii thing. At the moment she said it, I said "sh*t" to myself. But then when Simon explained that it was something that Dannii and Danyl had been joking about earlier with each other ... I don't know. I've always liked Dannii, so I do want to give her the benefit of the doubt. But Danyl's reaction didn't make it sound like it was a joke to him. Yeesh.  :-\\\\

My impression is that Dannii was trying to undermine what she perceived as dangerous competition for her acts, and also that she didn't think the comment through or realise how it would sound until it actually came out of her mouth.  I think it was meant to be a little jibe and ended up sounding really hurtful and horrible.

BTW, did anyone else notice the looks on the Miss Frank girls' faces when Simon called two of them "bookends?"  Looked like he put the knife just where he knew it would hurt them most, then twisted it.  Trying to sow discord perhaps?

I think the Dannii comment came out all wrong. I do think it was meant more as a poke at Simon for changing the lyrics to make it sound more "straight" rather than a poke at Danyl about his sexuality. And also a reaction to Cheryl's comment about how ridiculous it was that he was singing a "woman's song". IMO Dannii didn't realise when she said it how homophobic it would sound. I don't even really like Dannii but I don't think it was intended in the way it came out. She just didn't think before speaking. :-\\\\

Danyl still sucks in my opinion though. :P

Yes! They were not happy.

Yeah, that was pretty harsh, and even worse when he didn't know their names.  :-\\\\
