The long darkness begins descending...  :\\\'(
Ring the bells that still can ring
Forget your perfect offering
There is a crack, a crack in everything
That's how the light gets in...

I definitely am not a warm weather person. A beach vacation has never been my cuppa tea. I totally love when the season switches, though I agree the long dark days definitely get old. I am originally from Seattle, and I can't believe how similar the weather and seasons have been here. I feel right at home. Also I made a delicious homemade apple pie today to celebrate the cool days ahead.

On a side note, has anyone noticed that they always say "autumn" here? I said "fall" the other day at work and got told how American I sound sometimes. I hadnt even noticed! Haha.

I love the fall! turning leaves and warm jackets.  Back to school supplies, carving jack o lanterns, hay rides, morning chill/frost, football season!
To me, that describes autumn in the US--especially where I grew up--Philadelphia area.  Autumn in the UK just is different to me in so many ways.  And I agree with Mrs.R--not ready for it yet at all!

Freak! :P ;D

I can't wait for Autumn!

Agreed. I don't think I will ever miss that. Or at least, I don't yet.  :) I'm happy to skip the hot, hot summer. The sun has never been a friend of mine, anyway. Bring on the autumn wind!!!! I love wearing jumpers and boots and my coat.  ;D

Oh, I SO miss American college football at this time of year. All of the above mean fall to me as well!
