Check the salad dressing shelf. They're there!  :)

Yeah, I actually like the ones they have at Morrison's better than the French's ones from the states - the ones here are less salty. I just bought some so I could make a chicken and green bean casserole this week!  :)

I miss having a big selection of mild cheeses. I have nothing against strong cheese, but in Mexican food, even the mild cheddar here seems too sharp, and I haven't found a suitable white cheese to use in place of the Chihuahua or Oaxaca cheeses (or even Jack, for that matter) used in many Mexican dishes.

If you have a Tesco, check the deli section for Monterey Jack. I found some this week!  :)

Oh cool! We rarely go to Tesco because it's so far from us, but I will have a look next time I'm there. I only found sliced jack cheese at Morrison's and it was very disappointing. I just use the Mexican cheddar from there for burritos and things because at least its spicy.  :)

What? There's no green bean casserole chez Mindy??  :o ;)

No.  I think I must have left the country before the green bean casserole madness began.  I've never had it.

I'm sorry I made you all sad. What's in it besides green beans and crispy onions?

I will!  Last year we went of search of them at the farm shop only to find out my husband had bought the last two cans of French's. (We got another brand)  I used mine last year, I guess M didn't! :P

Mushroom soup, the condensed kind.

I had a friend in college who thought I was a culinary genius because I'd make him green bean casserole. I think he's right.

hmmmm

Is that a good hmmmm or a bad hmmmm?

GBC sounds kind of vile, but it's actually delicious. If you don't like the idea of the mushroom soup, I've made a 'gourmet' version of it before using cream, fresh mushrooms, etc.
