A few people have said you can get pumpkin puree here. I have no pumpkin puree for Thanksgiving, because my October trip to the US was canceled! I'm in London. Where can I find some?? I know that I can get everything else that I need (because I did it last year). :)
Finally living with my Husband in London after 6 1/2 years together but apart... and loving my life!

I have serious Waitrose envy. Neither Belfast nor Leeds has one. >:(

There's one in Otley.  (also further on, but a nice day out - Harrogate)  :)

Another place to look for canned pumpkin (northwest area):  Booths.

As for Thanksgiving/Halloween:  Bring candy corn!  No candy corn here.  :\\\'(

Oh, I love candy corn.  Didn't realize they don't have that here.  :-(

And as for where to find pumpkin in London, I have heard they carry it at Waitrose around Thanksgiving time.  I managed to go home last Thanksgiving though so can't say I've seen it, but one of DH's friends said she saw it there.

You can get it from Cybercandy, for a price.  £2.49 for 85g bag plus there's probably some shipping & handling added to that (oh yeah - £4.99 "Budget Shipping").  :P

They have pumpkin year round at the Whole Foods in London.  I went last year around Thanksgiving and they had it on sale.

They have candy corn flavoured Hershey's now (in the US, not sure about the UK).

They also have pumpkin at Harrods during the holidays, but I have no idea how much it costs.

Fortnum and Mason (year round), Selfridges (year round), Waitrose occassionally, Harrod's occassionally.  I am sure I have seen it otherwise but cannot remember.

Yeah, when I found out my husband had never tried candy corn I resolved to bring some candy corn/autumn mix over.

I did see canned pumpkin in Let's Eat in Milton Keynes when I was there in April... and they had cornbread mix as well. But since I introduced Michael to cornbread, he's figured out how to make it from scratch with corn meal because he likes it so much, haha.

This is all good to know! I will bring a can of pumpkin just in case this year. I also want to try to make pecan pie (I've never made it before), broccoli cheese casserole (if i can find some sort of cheese similar to velveeta), I actually don't eat meat so don't care about the turkey but will have the hubs make one along with stuffing, mashed potatoes, biscuits, cranberry- only if there is something there, if not, i don't mind not having it, biscuits and pecan and pumpkin pie. I mostly want to do what we traditionally do to introduce my new English family what it is!

Sorry for the late reply - the Waitrose in Canary Wharf has had tinned pumpkin the past 2 yrs I've looked.  Other ones probably do too, but this is one I know for sure.  I can safely say that the one in Balham and the one in Wandsworth Common do not;).

Pecan pie can be made here, but you will need to use Golden Syrup instead of corn syrup. I used a recipe from the BBC last year with the golden syrup and it turned out great, just like my grandma's - I couldn't tell the difference.

You won't find a cheese similar to Velveeta here - but I have a recipe at home for broccoli cheese casserole that uses regular grated cheddar cheese and it's awesome. I will look for it and post it for you later. (Unless you want to bring the Velveeta and use that, but I think this recipe is really good.)

Make sure you don't forget the pie tins - you might find them in your area, but you don't want to be stressing out at the last minute looking for them.  :)
