Primula cheese is a bit like cheez whiz:

I've used it for my broccoli and cheese casserole and it turned out alright.  Good on crackers as well! 

For pecan pie I have used maple syrup instead of corn syrup with alright results.  Since maple is a bit sweeter, I adjusted my recipe accordingly. 
Enjoy!  I went for years not celebrating Thanksgiving and did not realize how much I missed it.

Have a look near the cream cheese and dairylea...yellow tubes.  DH likes the stuff as it reminds him of his childhood.

This is kinda gross, but I've found that the processed cheese slices, when melted, taste pretty similar to Velveeta.  If you just unwrap a whole load of them and melt them in a bowl in the microwave, you can then use that as you normally would the Velveeta.  If you can get over the idea of using cheese slices that is...;)
