atiflights question
« on: September 15, 2009, 03:54:26 AM »
I have a question to see if anyone could help me. I've been looking up tickets on www.atiflights.com and they have some reasonable one way tickets to the UK. However, they are not showing me the airline I'd be flying with. I would really like to know who I'd be flying with before I purchase the ticket. Can anyone offer any advice?!

If you must know the airline don't buy through them....and it is often MUCH less expensive to purchase a round trip than a one way and the airline doesn't much care if you don't use the 2nd half...I've done it before.

I have been comparing their flight schedules with sites like Expedia to get an idea of the airline.

I booked a one-way with them ( I leave on Friday!) and I fly United. I fly through Chicago (3 hour layover) then to LHR!!!
I also checked on United and they have me as a confirmed passenger so it's legit!

Ya, exactly! I was wondering why it was so cheap but then didn't show the airline. I did compare the time of take off to other websites and it could be with United or BMI because they leave at that time. I think I will go for it!

It has showed the airlines for me...at least for American Airlines flights. Also, does anyone know about their 'rebate' system?
09/29/09--Visa Approved!
10/05/09--Leave for the UK!!!
06/15/12--Back in the US indefinitely...

Wow...they do have really cheap tickets...and the one-way tickets are actually significantly cheaper than round trip (which usually isn't the case).  I found tickets from a small local airport in my small city to Manchester for $400 one way; the exact same flight on orbitz is $788.  Strange...

Also the website did show me the airlines.

I was just talking to my BF about this site this morning. We are trying to book my flight for Christmas and I found round trip from MCO to MAN for $738 direct with Virgin Atlantic which is about 150 less than with Expedia.

So this site is legit?

...It must sound silly to ask that but Expedia is so well known that it makes me feel a bit more secure. But what a savings to go with ATI.

Thanks for this link! I just found 4 tickets on a VERY convenient flight for $1200. Seriously? Is this for real?

Ya, I keep wondering the same thing myself. Jodie said she booked with them and it is legit. Has anyone else booked with them and been ok?

Better yet, has anyone actually flown before successfully?  Just because you have booked and even if you have a ticket doesn't guarantee it's legit.  I've seen eticket scandals in the news before where people booked, paid for and received etickets, only to show up at the airport and find out it was a hoax.  Of course this was awhile back, but just to be on the safe side.
