BBC Good Food Show, Birmingham. Anyone going?
« on: September 21, 2009, 01:30:46 PM »
Yay! I am so excited. I just booked my hotel and show tickets for this November's good food show in birmingham. I went about 4 years ago and loved it, but after having my little boy, I havent seemed to get back there. Are any of you going and if you have gone in years past, was it worth it? I think James Martin is Lush. I had a book signed by Gordon Ramsey last time I went, but just missed meeting James... maybe this year!  ;D

I went a few years ago, and even though I loved it, the crowds were too much for me. It was worse than the Tokyo subway at rush hour! I wouldn't go again for that reason. I did meet Rick Stein last week at my local Waterstones doing a book signing...good enough for me!

enjoy!

Not going this year, but did go in 2006, and enjoyed it. I agree with racheeee, however--the crowds can be pretty intense. We got there very early (we had 9am tickets for a Jamie Oliver cooking demonstration), and it was ok in the morning, but by midday we had to leave because there were just so many people.

I'm going to the one in Glasgow - can't wait! Have tickets to see James Martin and the Hairy Bikers.
