London to Glasgow

I'm trying to get to Glasgow without spending a fortune (or taking a never ending coach trip).  Any ideas on cheap options?  :)

Just checked National Rail leaving London direct to Glasgow for £23 Advance for Standard Class Single and £52 for First class Single pushed out to October 6 (about 2 weeks) to get the best fare.

Thanks, I'll have to wait.  I was checking last minute prices -- which seem to be rather ridiculous.  You'd think they would prefer to sell the seats at a normal price than have them go empty.
