I gave in to my mom's wish to decorate for the reception. She is under orders to keep the colours to Dark Purple, Lavender, White, Silver, & Black. (Wedding colours are dark purple & silver, but I figured I'd give her a little leeway)

Becca....I think it's sweet you are letting good ol mom have some hand in the wedding plans - it is her daughter's big day and she wants to feel useful.  Way to go.
They all want projects ALWAYS!
 :)

Trying to let her do things that wont piss me off! LOL.

Although, things have been going really well.  My dress is 75% done - it just needs the zipper and hem (and boy, what a hem! The dress makes a 180" circle at the bottom!).  My aunt is putting in the zipper today, and then tomorrow we'll get the hem pinned up and I'll probably start sewing it (i forsee that taking me several hours). Overall, we (my mom, aunt, and I) have spent about 20 hours total on the dress.  Completely worth it IMHO!

I think I've also sort of taken over decorating. Not really taken it over, but lately she's been actually listening to me when I tell her something Tim and I want or don't want, so that's a start!

It's getting close! Tim lands in less than 2 weeks!
