Driving school recommendations?

   I want to start the process of getting a UK licence while I am still on the 12 month 'grace' period.  I see driving school cars all over the place here in Nottingham.  Are there any UK driving schools anyone here recommends or any schools that may specialize in helping Americans getting a UK licence?

Yeah I know, I'd really like to get my license before my 'grace' period ends, especially since we're looking into (finally) getting a car
I'm from California too by the by!!
And yeah, I'm looking for information on how to do this so, if you find any, if you'd like to pass it along to me I'd be very thankful!!!

HI. i saw your message...i was living in High Wycombe at the time, and i used BSM driving school.
They did all the paperwork, got the provisional license for me, scheduled the tests, etc

pretty smooth, even if it did take 3 months to get the appointments to takes the tests

Oh, BTW, anything you send to DVLA, send it "Signature Required" receipt returned, or you'll never get anything
