Oooh, if I had seen this thread I would have recommended The Strat. Nice place to stay on a budget, and it used to have the loosest machines on the Strip because it is so far north. They also have (or had) a really cool diner where all the wait staff sang and you could order things like an egg malt. Plus, they are right next to an IHOP which is nice for breakfast/brunch/late night feedings. And, let's not forget, the World's Biggest Junk Store next to that.
Did you end up going down-town? When we finally made it there, we got comped like mad. I think we spent a total of like $40 that night and got our shows, food, gambling, etc. for free.
