Holiday Gift Exchange 2009!
« on: October 23, 2009, 04:51:16 PM »
Is anyone interested this year? If nobody else wants to run it, I'm happy to do so again!

Before we start, I thought I'd just put out this feeler to see how many potential participants we might have. The numbers have been dropping in the past couple of years.  :(

For any newbies: We usually do a gift swap in December, open to anyone who's interested. We set a price limit - though my posts about previous year's swaps are showing up as blank, so I can't see what last year's price limit was! Does anyone remember? I have a feeling it was £15 (or the equivalent in US$). Once I know who's definitely in, I draw names randomly and PM you with the name of your gift recipient. It's top secret, so don't divulge anything! I do my best to match up UK people with other UK people, and US people with US people so we can keep postage costs (and delivery times) down.

For starters though, let's just take an informal survey and see how many of you might want to join in, OK?

ETA: I added a poll 'cause who doesn't love a poll?!? (No option for 'no' - I only need to know how many 'yes' votes there are.)

Good response so far!! I'll keep the poll up for another week and hopefully we'll get 15 or 20 people who want to do it.  :)

I'll take that!  :)

Does anyone remember what we set as a guide price or price limit last year?

H., whilst my PMs were blank about the limit, I went back and checked my online ordering from last year (since I do everything online!  ;)) and I believe the limit was £15.

Thank you!! That's the number I sort of remembered, but I wasn't sure.  :-*
