Yorkshire parkin
« on: October 23, 2009, 06:10:14 PM »
Attention all you Tykes --
Does anyone have a recipe for parkin with Americanized measurements?  I don't have a scale in the US so need to measure in cups.  I found a recipe with US measurements online that lists 1/2 cup of applesauce as an ingredient.  Sounds good but somehow doesn't strike me as very authentic  ???

Gourmet Sleuth will convert any ingredient to/from UK to/from US measurements!

TykeMan just posted this parkin recipe the other day. No apple sauce!

Thanks for that -- but maybe I'll try using my Tala measure.  Recipe looks authentic.
