Acorn Squash
« on: October 25, 2009, 12:06:18 PM »
Looks like autumn is the time foreigners start to panic...

I've searched through the forum, and it seems that a couple of people have gotten their hands on some acorn squash in the past. But I can't find any in-store here, or through the online delivery services.

Has anyone noticed acorn squash for sale this time of year? Where did you find it?

Also, does butternut squash work as well as acorn squash if I slice it in half, sprinkle on some brown sugar, and roast it?
Jen

It doesn't taste like acorn squash really, but it is really lovely that way!

I'll have to defer to the people in the UK on the squash supply though.

I have seen it in the UK, but I've been away a little too long!

Oh thank god. Autumn just isn't the same without it!
