We're celebrating! We're inviting both Americans and non over to our house for a full-fledged Thanksgiving dinner. It helps that my husband and I are both Americans, though. If he didn't "get" Thanksgiving, I'd be in a world of hurt.  ;)

Just put in an order with the butcher today for our turkey. I've been here 5 years now, and have done small Thanksgiving dinners (just 3-4 of us usually) each year since. I love Thanksgiving, I can't imagine not celebrating it :)

I never celebrate Thanksgiving -- to me, it just seems an awful lot of money to spend on a single meal.  :-\\\\

I make Thanksgiving dinner every year. Sometimes I invite people and sometimes I just make it for me and DH. The best part, IMO, is the leftovers!  :)

We're going to the States visiting family - 3 weeks today!!!

Last year was DW's first here and she cooked Thanksgiving dinner for when I got home from work and we had the NFL on TV. She even got to see the Philadelphia Thanksgiving Day parade that was streamed on the internet site of the local news station.

That's right, it's endless days of turkey sandwiches, turkey pot pie, turkey tetrazzini, turkey soup....  ;)

We did a big Thanksgiving party last year. This year, it looks like we've got even more people coming (already have 12 attending with another 10 or so invited!) and we're thinking of switching venues in order to accommodate the people. We do it potluck style so that it's not terribly expensive for one person/couple.

I'm not a huge fan of turkey, but it's necessary to make the gravy which I DO love! In England I always celebrated with other Americans. We don't really have room in our flat here in Dublin to entertain, so I think it's just going to be the two of us this year.
