I used to really like that hot caramel apple cider they did in the US.

Oh, yes!  Those are fantastic!

They always do that! Just ask for peppermint syrup in the signature hot choc - it's ace! :)

I have a suspicion that apple cider is hot apple juice and caramel syrup - but it's SO good!

You're right  :P

I made it once using American cider (non-alcoholic), a cinnamon stick, caramel syrup and whipped cream.  It was delicious, but there's just something about the way they do it at Starbucks...

DH, the munchkin & I went yesterday and I had another Toffee Nut Latte & DH had a regular Mocha...the bonus? The card machine was having issues, DH offered to go to the cash machine but the cashier just said, 'That's ok, this one is on us.'  :)

I agree on the caramel apple cider.  I used to love those on a cold autumn night.

Had myself the first of many soy gingerbread lattes of the season.  Yum!

Willpower nothing :P, I read the fat and carb content and nearly fell over!  (Before I had it) One of those a day and I'd gain everything back by Christmas.  Not worth it!!!

Although I'll be there on Wed, so I'll let you know what happens ;)  I'm going to try the Christmas blend, or try to!

Ohh, just an FYI, they have their Red Starbucks cards available now, if you use it they donate part of the proceeds to the Red Charity. (Until 31 Dec) http://blog.joinred.com/2009/11/starbucks-red-launch-in-uk-ireland.html
So if you go a lot, it's worth getting.  Even if you don't go a lot really :D
