I can't find it on the Lewis & Cooper website, but it is on the Ocado website.
Selfridge's has had it in the past, and House of Fraser.
Selfridge's had it last weekend.

I saw that they had Karo but only the dark. And then something that's obviously new (well to me) is their pancake syrup made with artificial maple flavour - why not use the real McCoy?bother).

Still tired of coteries and bans. But hanging about anyway.

I found this recipe to substitute Corn Syrup in recipes - its aimed at people with Corn allergies, but simple enough.  Its the cheaper alternative to buying over-inflated import Corn Syrup... However, I have no clue as to how it would taste comparably in Pecan Pie.   :-\\\\

Are you really suprised with fake-flavour everything else, why not sell Fakle Syrup?   ;)

Ya know, I think that would work. I'd probably add a bit of vanilla.

No not really. Looking for a business partner?  ;)

LOL, you know it would probably sell better than most if for no other reason than the novelty of the name alone.   ;)

My family are die-hard pecan pie eaters, and I've made it a few times since moving here.  I used golden syrup and really had no problems at all.  You should have heard the rave reviews my pie always gets here--nobody has ever had the real deal of homemade pecan pie.  I thought it tasted great with the golden syrup still.

I've seen it at Partridges, along with molasses.

I just had a thought I think Jamie Oliver had pecan pie ecipe in his new American cookbook with the UK recipe for it, but I could be mistaken since I only got a bit of a cursory glance at it.

apparently treacle is the equivalent to dark corn syrup - give it a go. actually i might myself and report back. you'll find it wherever golden syrup is in the supermarkets.

Treacle is the equivalent of molasses.  It's like sludge in a tin.

Treacle is nothing like dark corn syrup.

But I found dark corn syrup in a Asian food shop in Cambridge, (and it wasn't as if it was some big US import store either) so if they have it there I bet some other Asian shops will have it.

i think the artificial maple syrup tastes better and is thicker.  I wouldn't buy the 'real McCoy'.
