And like Ashley, a few pounds I gained from taco bell LOL ...

Good ole Toxic Hell. Nothing beats it. I've been dreaming lately about a bean burrito and a regular taco. I think the babies are craving it.

I used to bring back big bottles of excedrin but I think my body has finally got used to UK painkillers and I don't feel the need for them.

However, I do buy tylenol PM. I don't know why but I just don't like to use any other type of PM painkiller.

- Mexican cooking staples (tins of tomatillos, tinned crema, dried chilies, masa harina, etc)

Last time I was in the states I brought back a bottle of green tomatillo salsa. Best thing I've ever bought. Will have to get some more.

Combo of me & hubby's likes:

- graham crackers
- giant jar of Jif
- Goldfish
- single-serve sachets of Crystal Lite
- huge bottle of pancake syrup (not maple...the cheap crap.  We love it!)
- loaf of Velveeta
- several boxes of Benedryl
- deodorant (I find UK deodorant weird)

Some of this stuff gets sacrificed for space sometimes, but that would be my list if I could fit everything I wanted.

I used to bring back lots of stuff, but each year it gets less and less, now it is down to a couple of big bottles of Aleve and Aleve PM and the single serving sachets of Ocean Spray Light Cran-Grape drink mix.  Thank goodness I am visiting family this Christmas!  I need to restock my supply.

I haven't found any grape stuff over here yet...

I don't think we do it, never heard of it until I went to the States, tried it once and thought "what's the point?"!

For DW the main thing is Sweet 'n' Low - which really baffles me!

Why does it baffle you?

I used to bring back
- green chilies in a can
- Gatorade powder (I think you can get it there now though)
- medicines, Robitussin DM in particular
- deodorant (I am loyal to my US brand)
- shampoo (same as deodorant)

Triscuits & graham crackers.  :)

Has she tried Hermesetas here?  Cos it's the same kind of sweetener as Sweet'n'Low & tastes exactly the same to me!  :)

You can get it here! It's in our local greengrocer, but you can order online if there's no stockist near you: http://www.casamariastore.com/products-casa-maria-salsa.htm

I've seen flavoured coffee beans all over the place here, MeShell! Is there a specific brand you like that's American or have you just not been able to find them in the UK?

The only thing I'd bring back if I went is ibuprofen in mass quantities, as others have said. A big bottle lasts me years!  :)

Oh yeah - I bring back the huge bottles of Ibuprofen & also tubes of Neosporin.  Also for whatever reason - I prefer Band-Aids (the brand) to the plasters sold here.

The last time my husband went to the US without me I had him bring me back only 3 things.

HV Ranch
McCormick Country gravy mix
Franks Buffalo Sauce

I guess I don't really miss to much. I do get cravings for other things here and there but those 3 things are my must have items!

My problem with the plasters I get here is that the sticky part surrounds the pad.  Great if your cut, or blister, is exactly the same size as the pad, really bad if it sticks out a little.  If it is too long then the sticky stuff gets on your wound!   Ouch.

My dh's argument is that then stuff can't get into your wound because it is all sealed up.

Maybe I just injure myself in longer or wider ways than most people here.

Yes, that's what it is!  I also tried some fabric plasters here & they gave me a rash.  I love my good old Band-Aids, but just use whatever is available whenever I run out.
