If you have a hearth, sprinkle some icing sugar on it through a sieve, then, next morning, look to see if Santa left any footprints ;)

maybe ask a neighbour to shake some bells outside?

What cool ideas!! That is amazing.

We leave a glass of milk and carrots and cookies out. Then drink the milk, eat the cookies and gnaw the carrots to the end. But I like these ideas!
Still tired of coteries and bans. But hanging about anyway.

Oh, and of course, I'm sure I don't have to point out that Santa always uses different wrapping paper to you guys, right?

Of course. But a very good reminder/note to newbie 'santas'.

I remember once, long, long ago, I was away working over Christmas, so we arranged Christmas day when I got back, 29th or 30th. But in between that time, the exDW and first wee boy were out after Christmas and they met some friends and they asked if santa brought him anything good and he replied santa didn't come. She had some quick explaining that no we weren't evil.

After that, Christmas has always been on the 25th whether I am here or not. That is when santa will come.

Still tired of coteries and bans. But hanging about anyway.

My stepfather said he always believed in Santa Claus because his parents would wrap all of his gifts a few weeks before Christmas, but Santa would leave special unwrapped gifts under the tree on Christmas eve.

Jewlz: Nice touch! I still believe in Santa because he still comes to our house!  :o ;D

My mum always did Christmas in a huge way, making it SOOOOO special. It really is my favourite time of year. DH didn't quite get it at first, but he's fully in the swing now and loves it almost as much as me. I think my excitement is what he likes the most LOL
