We had our sofa delivered today. Firstly, they didn't say what time they were going to come round, and then when I phoned, the man said, "Oh, I don't know. They've some other deliveries to make. But, sometime in the early afternoon." Then, when they did come round, I told them where to set the sofa down, and they completely misunderstood me, and if MIL hadn't said, "Well, facing the fire, of course!" the blokes wouldn't have put it right! Thank God she went out into the lane and flagged them down as they were going down the cul-de-sac. Oh, and they showed up in a rented Afford lorry. What the heck?! DH said that they're used to a bog standard sort of delivery, and anything different just boggles their minds. Crikey!
