Tell you what, if you find a place come and ask us and we can offer our opinions or experiences of that area. I'm in London, so just pm me. :)

Great idea, thanks! Good thing is that I have a couple of friends that have offer me their couch while I go flat hunting.  ;)

<3 Streatham.  Just don't get knocked over by traffic on the High Road.  ;D

I like Streatham too! It gets such a bad rap but I think it's pretty fun, nice houses too. Actually a few months ago my friends got a 2 BR flat there on the high street for 700/month (right above a nice polish bakery). But Brixton is my fave :)

You could actually do a whole separate thread on: If I have to live in a dodgy area, which one should I live in? Highly subjective of course, it's just I think there are some areas that are dodgy AND boring, and what's the point of that?

Well, every place is dodgy to an extent unless you're really rich.

Wow, that's cheap!  We live in Streatham too, but wanted a garden so pay quite a bit more than that.  £700 is a steal.

Yes, suggest that once you find an area you come back and ask specifically, as it's really hard to recommend places in London as there's SO many!
