Anybody watch this?  I've checked it out a few times and it's ok...learned a lot about immigration from it.

I've watched this a few times, as well.  I definitely find it fascinating having just moved here...I find myself shaking my head most of the time at some of what people try to get away with.  But I also watch this and cringe because I know it's just adding to the stereotypes that already exist here, which is not helpful at all to the current climate/policy changes happening.

I've watched all of the shows already mentioned plus the American Border Patrol. My husband is into them more so then I am. I also think they are interesting but at the same time I do feel bad for some of the people they have on it.

yep and the Aussie one as well. Some people just don't learn, do they? The repeat offenders and the ones who are clearly stupid just astound me.

Very interesting shows. I sometimes think these guys and gals have an awful lot of patience.

Bring Us A...Shubbery! Did you catch the Big Machines or something like that on Quest about the USS Nimitz? It was awesome! That thing houses 9 squadrons! NINE! and that doesn't include reconnaissance or the helicopters. I had a chance to get stationed on that floating airfield but came to Scotland instead (well the ship didn't allow alcohol, Scotland did  ;D  )

Still tired of coteries and bans. But hanging about anyway.

Yup, I watch UK Border Force and the Aussie one too.  Like Jupy said, I feel bad for the people on it sometimes...don't feel bad though for the repeat offenders, drug smugglers, etc etc.

On the Aussie one I also feel bad for the reptiles that get sent through the post... most of them have to be euthanised... so sad. I'm a reptile lover.

I missed that. Can't they give them to a zoo or something? That seems a bit much to kill them. Or were they unrecoverable and it was in their best interests?

Like Jupy said, I feel bad for the people on it sometimes...don't feel bad though for the repeat offenders, drug smugglers, etc etc.

I feel some sort of empathy for some of the smugglers. Sometimes and only sort of. You know the moment they realise the game's up. Damn that must be one stomach turning sick feeling. That sort of empathy. I mean they know the rules. But I do genuinely believe some are coerced into the game.

The ones I don't feel sorry for at all are the down right chancers and then act all dumb about it. Oh I didn't realise I had more than 10K on me. Yea right. Pull the other one.

Before I say anything more I will explain. I know the CO have to get to the bottom of it and have a job to do.

OK so now I'll continue, I just think some of the CO, homeland security, (what ever it is depending on which show) IMO make the situation worse and are so disrespectful sometimes! Yes, most of the people being stopped and held do have very bad attitudes but so would I after being held for 6 hours even after fully cooperating with them. I mean 6 hours?? Why on earth should it take that long?

I really like when they show all the random things people stick in the mail. I forget which show it was but they opened a package full of dead bats! Ew!

So that's where my order went. I was so disappointed as I had to forego making my Camelot Lucky Potion.

Did anyone see the one on last night, where someone had wrapped up a dead bear in garbage bags and checked it in?! Was very weird!

Reminds me of once when I was in LAX. They have those little beagles that run around sniffing everyone's luggage while you're waiting by the carousels. This little guy became very interested in this guy's bag, so the lady made him open it up. I always thought they were drug dogs, but apparently they're trained to find fruit and veg! This guy had a banana in his bag and seemed confused that, despite being told you can't bring fruit or veg of any kind into the US, he wasn't allowed a banana.

"But I was going to eat it in the taxi" was his only defence.

LOL
