I wish I could claim credit for the compounding, but it came from a lunchbox my mother got me after the Virgin Mary toast thingie happened a few years back.

I was riding with you in your black Ford Ka as we went to pick up MLG (whom I've never met, seen a picture of, or spoken to)...

Oh yeah - I remember you telling me now!

Yeah, so chary has jinxed me now with this thread, and I dreamt (sort of) about a UKY-er this morning just before I woke up.  Indeed, contrTremula was some sort of nameless, faceless dude wandering about the perimeter of a dream about other stuff.  ???

I was sitting around on some bleachers with other strangers, and he was talking about having been to Rio de Janeiro on holiday recently.  I said - yes, I went 24 years ago & probably wouldn't recognise it now.

Then I was apparently clearing out my mom's house (who died this time last year) while he was moving into my old bedroom in that house - the house where I grew up.  He was putting his still-wet laundry into the places that I was trying to clear out?!!

And then it was just me cleaning out this cupboard that used to be in the hallway outside the bathroom there.  The drawer I was clearing out seemed to be bottomless.  I was pulling out stuff like dressing gowns that (in the dream only) had been my mother's but actually looked pretty nice & I thought well I could wear those now.  There were rags that needed to be tossed.  There were still good bath towels and washcloths.  There were some things that (in the dream) were my brother's old baby clothes.  And the last thing were a bunch of teeny tiny bras (like A or B cup! not very big around either!) - very fancy with lace & baubles on them...I had no idea who those belonged to as they certainly weren't my mother's or mine.

Talk about a lot of subconscious mental garbage!  I think it was due to the combination of it's nearly the 1-year anniversary of my mother's death, and this thread on dreams about UKY.  Weird.  :P

And I woke up a bit sad.  :(  But DH was there - all warm & snuggly so it was ok.

I once had a dream about Marlespo but this was after I had seen her down in Ely aaaaages ago, back when she only had one child.

It was actually a really horrible dream. I dreamt that she had died and I had to take her son to raise.  :-\\\\

yeah this thread made it happen...I had thought about stuff before never thought they were dreams as I normally don't remember them but as I get closer to getting to the UK dreams happen! I dream about all the towns/villages I see people live in and have road trips to hang out. It is very weird as I have only met 1 person so far (I am sure there will be more) but yeah they show up too as my tourist guides lol like a face on my GPS ;-)

Yep, I had my first 'posting on UKY' dream last night. It was SarahJoyHappy. She posted in IA, starting off by saying that 'Bmore jinxed everything'. Not sure what that meant. Then went on to say how her IA is that her two pigeons who have clipped wings and shouldn't be able to fly were now flying around her house.  :P

I once had a dream after somebody on here posted that they got a new kitten and I dreamed that they left it in a caravan trailer with David Duchovney's tiger.  And I had warned everybody that this wasn't a good idea and nobody listened to me and of course the tiger ate the kitten.  And I was like 'well, I told you that would happen.

. And I once nearly went up to a guy in Aberdeen to ask him if he were DennistheMenace! But I couldn't bring my self to ask a complete stranger if they are 'User Name'. And then sometimes when I'm in a city and hear an American accent, I wonder if that person could be a fellow UKYer? Maybe we should have a little badge...

Ha! Hilarious! i've never been to Aberdeen so unless I do have a long lost twin my mum didn't tell me about, it wasn't me! - however, it still makes me laugh when hearing an Indian person with a Scottish accent and/or Welsh and/or Irish ! - it's just very rare in our community to have people who are from those regions of the UK!

Cheers! DtM! West London & Slough UK!
