Still being new-ish here (only my third Christmas in the country), it's just gotten through my head... Top of the Pops... #1 single... Rage Against the Machine back-to-back with the Queen.  I'm going to have a gigglegasm here, I think.  :o ;D

It would if they still did Top of the Pops!

Bah, I'd forgotten... ruin all mah fun! :D

((edit)) There's still totally a Christmas edition on tap before the Queen's Speech. :D  TV Guide tells me so!  And it's giggleworthy, at that:

To celebrate, the bit of Radio 5 with RATM performing live...before getting turned off for swearing. Ironic that some suit somewhere thought that a band which repeats 'F$% you, I won't do what you tell me!' would actually do what they were told... ^_^

Its a double win for Sony though. Since both songs are on that label. The real winner is the big corporation IMO

To me, it's not about Sony's profits off of either record, it's about rejecting the prepackaged cover song sung by the winner of a karaoke popularity contest in favor of the protest song sung by a band known for their anti-corporate philosophy.
