New Years Resolutions 2010
« on: December 26, 2009, 11:06:49 PM »
Okay New Years Resolutions... lets hear them!

Mines: Even though I am still stuffed with leftovers.. I have the traditional lose weight.

However this year is more about getting 30- 50 mins of exercise in a day... walking, wii fit, weight training and maybe join a pool. So its more exercise focused.

and also to land my dream job this year, no more freelance I want something long term and challenging.

I've grown to really enjoy the freedom of not being bound to any resolutions!  ;D

Lose weight, get our spending down...

I am going to try to switch to an ovo-vegetarian thing.  Cut down or eliminate dairy.  I don't do un-aged soy so really having a vegan or near vegan diet isn't realistic for me.

I'd like to reduce our carbon footprint.  Eat more local.  Consume more things from within the UK or at worst the EU.

Get what we need to get done in order for me to get citizenship this time next year.

Grow an allotment.

More whole food (we already eat a lot of whole food to begin with, but since we've moved we've been eating more convenience foods)

Make friends with our neighbours

Finish my writing project (no. 1 resolution)

My resolutions look more like a to-do list

Mine is pretty much a to do list for 2010!

Find a job (any job will do...a job is better then no job)

I must get in shape! Having been out of work has really not helped in this as I stay home most days. I just want to fit into all the jeans I stuffed into my suitcase for the move that now just waste space in the already small storage space we have.

Get out of the house more (as mentioned above)

Learn to drive my hubby's dang manual car (or get him to find me an automatic ;D) This is my number one thing to do.

to try to not be as homesick as I have been. To be more positive.
And to clean the room where I keep my clothes

Acoustic. I have put the word out around the office. Apparently a few of the music teachers from the schools also do private lessons, so maybe I will find someone to give me some lessons. I did see a flyer in a shop window last year for guitar lessons, but of course I didn't write the number down since my guitar was still in the states and we were too broke to have afforded the lessons then anyway. I'll have to have another look around and see if they are still advertising.

Mine is just to be good to myself because 2009 was shite and 2010 doesn't look too promising right now.
When I was 5 years old, my mother always told me that happiness was the key to life. When I went to school, they asked me what I wanted to be when I grew up. I wrote down ‘happy’. They told me I didn’t understand the assignment, and I told them they didn’t understand life. ~ John Lennon

Take better control of finances.

Get rid of clutter.

Plan a nice party and/or vacation for my parents' 40th anniversary.

Cook at home more and eat healthier.

Exercise more.

Make sure my friends and family know how much I appreciate them.

I agree with Chary on this!!  ;D  [smiley=2thumbsup.gif]

I know I have mentioned this a few times on here but I think all of you who want to lose weight I think the Wii Fit would be perfect for you!! you can do it at home an wear what you like cause its in the privacy of your own home & its way cheaper than joining a gym for a year!! for those of you who like Yoga & weight training there both on the Wii Fit along with several other exercises. Good luck with whatever you do in 2010  ;D  [smiley=clover2.gif]
