Hershey Kiss Cookies
« on: January 01, 2010, 11:27:02 AM »
These are an actual cookie, right?  With a Hershey kiss on top?  Or have I dreamed them?  Does anybody have a recipe?  Before I sit here and eat an entire bag of kisses.

You didn't imagine them! They're real! Sorry - no recipe, though.

At least I'm sane.  I googled it.  Which is what I should have done in the first place. ;)

I just Googled too and that's the exact link I was going to give you! Happy baking! (Hope the cookies make up for the NYE arguments.)

We call them 'Peanut Blossoms' in my family. No idea why!

I think the basic recipe can be found under the name "thumbprint cookie".  I think you can fill the little gap with anything like jam or dried fruit.

I've made a version of them using Nestle's Toll House chocolate chip cookie recipe, but instead of putting in choc chips, I put a kiss in the middle.

Maybe because the Kiss blossoms out of peanut-y goodness!  :D

It's because that is the original recipe for them http://www.hersheys.com/recipes/recipes/detail.asp?id=5191 from Hershey's. :)

I've had the non-peanut butter version too and they were good.
