I'm just so not impressed by this series. I think the final straw was on the 2nd episode when Heidi Fleiss was talking about not ever wanting to be a mother and she said 'thank god for abortion'...DH and I just looked at each other and switched it off. I haven't watched since.

If you don't agree with abortion then thats a fair point. Personally i don't have a problem with it, if someone had an unplanned, unwanted pregnancy then why wouldn't they say that. Millions of women probably say it every day. The show would be very boring if everyone in the house had the same views on everything.

Anyone watching?

I think it could be interesting. I have to admit that I *like* Heidi Fleiss. After all was said and done, she kept her mouth shut where she could have ruined a lot of peoples lives, other than just her own.

And... the hot Swede will definitely keep me watching.  ;)

The "hot Swede" is vile....with all his "gas" talk.  He also comes across as desperate and immature.  Heidi is stand up and old school....most people would have babbled....there again it wouldn't have been in her interest to "talk" as I explained here.  http://raggydeeann.blogspot.com/2010/01/watching-heidi-fliess-on-celeb-big.html  I have met her a few times but can't call her a buddy, but people I know who know her, say she is a kind hearted girl....she does have some issues though.

Sorry, pkmac, but I hate Heidi! And I think she'll walk before too long. It seemed to me as if she didn't really get it, didn't know why she was there and, frankly, looked a bit out of it. I'd bet money that she'll walk.

I like Stephanie, but I'm not sure about the rest of them. I always end up getting sucked in, though, and I'm sure this year won't be any different! I love BB!

Hate is a bit of a strong word to use.  Is it because of her past profession?  In any case her brother died on the 29th of December.  Why she bothered with the show I don't  know but I guess we all grieve in our own way.

I'm very much pro-choice but I don't think abortion should be used as birth control and while I quit watching this series pretty much  immediately it sounds as though that may have sort of been the context? It's irresponsible of her to imply that abortion is a means of BC.

Not overly strong for a programme like this, no. They're celebrities. You either love them or hate them. That's the way it is.

I did say that I've started to warm toward her, though, because of her summing up of that awful Stephen Baldwin. I do hate him, by the way. And I don't actually think hate is a strong enough word.

But I still wouldn't want to be her friend as I think she's socially weird and just ... I don't know ... there's something odd and off-putting about her. It has nothing to do with her past profession - just to do with her.

I agree. I know that they are actually real people but because they are celebrities they are more like cartoon characters. Hate is perfectly acceptable, IMO.

I haven't been able to watch for a few days because of our power outage, but plan to catch up tonight.

It's the way he talks that bothers me. I don't even mean his Bible talk -just his general way he is with people. It's not like he's having a back and forth conversation, it's like he's talking 'at' people and trying to inspire them or even guide them.  I associate that kind of thing with preachers.  Maybe it's just me.

The Baldwin family are all kooky anyway. Besides there is nothing like a reformed addict and a born again jesus freak.

Oh I could see myself hanging with her.  Years of drug abuse does things to ya so maybe that's why she sounds strange to you.  As far as I'm concerened the only celebs in the house are Stephanie and Baldwin. Heidi is a celeb by default the rest, I never heard of them.  They really should have brought in Boy George...the house could do with an ecentric queen in the house, but I'm thinking he would have popped Baldwin one in the chumps if he was there.

Last year was the first time I've watched so that's all I have to compare to.

My opinion is this year is highly entertaining!  I like that they're not overtly sniping and griping at each other yet.

I've laughed at almost the entire show both tonight and last night.  I *loved* the tree of temptation - the way they executed it and picked Jonas.  His reaction was hilarious.

At least the bible readings give them some source of entertainment.  It COULD be a thought provoking way to take up time, but the preaching and calling out that Stephen does that is so very annoying.  I'd be getting snarky on his ass if I had to be subjected to that sort of grandstanding.

Heidi seems highly traumatized to me.  Nicola put together that the grass was fake so there must be drainage under the concrete before Stephanie did, which to my mind was demonstrative of an agile mind.  She's just one of those people who only pay attention to the world immediately around them.

...the whole damn thing will turn
and return redefined, rearranged, rearranged...

The tree of temptation was GENIUS! How much would I love to be on the production team of CBB!

I never thought I would see the day that I was commenting so much about Big Brother on forums and actually laughing.  I have rarely given it any time.

Just because one is born with a womb doesn't mean one has to reproduce or even feel the need to have children. Mentioing abortion as a method of birth control was not a good way to express her feelings, but you being turned off the show by the comment shows very little tolerance and narrow mindedness on your part.

The irony is her father is a very well loved and respected pediatrician and Heidi herself is a very giving person.
