Me and the fella are going there in March time for an appointment. I've suggested we make a weekend out of it, but need some suggestions on what to do for him to agree! So whats there to do in Yorkshire or surronding areas?

How far is Barnsely from Leeds?  I'm in Leeds and there's loads to do if it's not too much of a hassle to get here.  Also, there is the Yorkshire Sculpture Park

which I *think* is between Leeds and Barnsley (I saw signs for Barnsley when we were driving to the park).

Sculpture park is between Barnsley and Wakefield.

There's Cannon Hall and the park.
Worsborough Mill museum and park (an old water mill, they still mill flour and bake their own bread)

close to the Pennines.

Leeds and Sheffield aren't too far, York well worth a visit if you are coming up for the weekend

You could even take in a game at Oakwell!  ;D

Unusual place to be coming for an appointment though!
