Just got back from the vet to microchip my two other pets. So I now have:

2 x HomeAgain chips with 15 digits (should be ISO)
1 x 24PetWatch with 10 digits

All three were read by the vet using this scanner: http://www.classypets.com/Merchant5/merchant.mvc?Screen=PROD&Store_Code=CPTS&Product_Code=MICRO009&Category_Code=PTSMICRO, which is the HomeAgain WorldScan.

I guess I will rent one of these when we travel, just to be sure.

Andy

Judith: The microchip currently implanted in your pet is ISO compliant and as such can be read by most international standard scanners. We would encourage you to register your pet's microchip ID with a Microchip Database Registration Service in the country that you are moving to and obtain a collar tag from their company. This will aid any shelter or Third Party that finds your pet in contacting the proper registry.

UPDATE ON 24PETWATCH INFO:  i contacted them directly with my two microchip numbers and the above is their live chat reply.
