We're getting quite a bit here in Daventry, though I think the main roads are probably a lot better than the ones we have around here in the center of town. I want to say it's at least a couple inches, and it seems to have stopped for now, but who knows what'll happen this afternoon. BBC is saying that we shouldn't have any more snow overnight, but it won't get above freezing so we'll freeze over--lovely. Schools are completely closed in Northampton pretty much (I think), and the shops look a bit empty (I can see a lot of the foot traffic in town from our kitchen, and it's pretty sparse).

I guess I'm in the camp that thinks snow is pretty and all that, except when there's things that need to be done, like shopping and having DH go into work :(

Weather forecast was for snow today, but its blue skies and no snow in sight.  All good, except its bitterly cold and the because the roads are just a mess still, they've all turned to ice where people brake and that's a bit of a disaster.

This is what you get for going home at Christmas.  We had about 4 inches, or more right after you left.

Oh, you have no idea how pained I was to miss that!  It literally started snowing as our plane was on the runway about to take off.  And, to top that off, we got a rare 10 inches of snow in North Carolina...just *after* we left to head to the beach.  I missed it entirely! So happy to see it now...only it looks to me like it just stopped  :\\\'(

This is what happened in December.  I t snowed at lunch, stopped for a while until rush hour and then snowed all night!  Here's hoping!

we have hit snowman alert, have about 2-3 inches here in croydon, DH and I went out and built a 5 foot snowman.  :)

Looks like about 4-6 inches of snow round ere.  So glad that my work closed so I don't HAVE to go out but I'm gonna go anyway.   ;D

All the big fluffy flakes are making everything look lush.
