Dang it!  What is this white stuff falling from the sky & all over the ground here?!!  :(

Lulled into a false sense of security, we'd had several days of cold, clear sunshine & so I reckoned that ought to just continue through until spring...

This is a most unwelcome development!

Who else has snow this morn?

We have 6 inches on the ground in Derby and it's still falling. Somehow my husband managed to make it to work in Eastwood, Nottingham...but it's supposed to be snowing ALL day!

It's funny because our road was supposed to be blocked off today (we aren't sure why - some kind of roadworks apparently) so we were worried about being able to get out!

So when we first looked out, they had blocked it off, traffic cones all down the street, and two big trucks sat waiting.  Now, they have all gone & the road is open again - lol!  They would have had a good job doing anything in this mess!

But then our road is supposed to be closed for several Sundays, so...  :-\\\\

South Manc has about two inches, but they seem to be starting to melt. My worst fear now is go have a repeat of the "big freeze" and I could go into labour at any moment! Lol!

It looks like a good inch or two here in York... again.  It's like the snow god is making up for all the winters he was napping in this one winter.

I hear tales of snow down south today.  We started the day with some blue sky up here in God's Own County, though it's clouded over now.

Oh!  Blue again with sun now!  :)

No snow in Hants...just rain, a cold wind, and plenty of mud!
