Anyone from or live in Sheffield?

What's it like?

I live in a little village outside of Sheffield.  I love our village.  Sheffield's a pretty friendly place to live and visit.  There're quite a few people living in and around Sheffield on the forum.

What's it like?

I dont live there, but have visited once (and will be doing so again in a couple of weeks) for the Pale Rider.  Great beer in a couple of good pubs (Fat Cat and Devonshire Cat).

Heartily recommend the Devonshire Cat - they also do great burgers there too!

Last time i was in they had Pale Rider, Jaipur *and* Excelsior!  It was like my birthday and Christmas rolled into one!

They do lovely beers there - even if you're not a massive fan of beer they do seem to have something for everyone!  They had some American beer in at Christmas this past year it was called Fat Bastard or something like that - it made me & DH laugh when I got the email notification from the DC FB group.  I love the Belgian fruit beers they have, they're almost like drinking wine.
