What happened to everyone loves a tattooed girl?  :P

No, I can relate. I have a big tattoo (and a couple of small ones), but I tend to cover it these days. Not because I'm ashamed of it, really, but because I get tired of people asking me about it. But honestly, in the US people always said something about it and here people never seem to notice at all. My in law's are in their seventies and the first time I rocked the tattoo in front of them, they never said a word about it. I was so surprised. It's just been a non-issue so far since I've lived here.

My partner is a tattooist and I am the "shop-wench" in his shop,(receptionist,tea-b*tch,tube-b*tch,design-b*tch and etc)  lol
so when Im in there obviously I dont get people judging me,

Its usually when Im in a store, sometimes the employees there look at me like "ohh she is heavily tattooed, she must be a criminal and is going to thieve something!" type of attitude.

A lot of mine arent able to be covered up (my hand is tattooed,my lower arms is tattooed and etc)

My partner is very aware of people being judgemental so he refuses to tattoo my neck, my hand was already tattooed when I met him,so he has no say in that ;D lol

And I Say Unto Thee, One who doth Poop upon the Party of another is deemed unclean, and must be cast from your internet dwelling.

Leviticus, the last time I checked, is in the Old Testament.  A Christian, by definition is one who believes in Jesus Christ as Lord and Saviour, and therefore is saved by this faith, and the laws of the Old Testament do not apply.  I would wonder if this person who posted the passive/aggressive Leviticus passage follows ALL the Old Testament laws, including not eating pork, shellfish or even cheeseburgers.

I am not a fan of tattoos.  I just don't like them.  But I have no problem if others want them.  It doesn't bother me, it is none of my business.  But as a Christian, I find "drive-by" shootings of holier-than-thou instructions truly offensive.  If someone pulled that kind of nastiness on my FB page, I would quote back this Bible verse:  "Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind. This is the first and great commandment. And the second is like unto it, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself. On these two commandments hang all the law and the prophets."   There is nothing in the New Testament that prohibits tattoos, but that FB comment doesn't exactly "love thy neighbor as thyself"!"
I'll give that an "Amen!"

Orthodox Jews do this, and don't wear tattoos, and some follow the rules about not cutting hair.

However, I have never had an Orthodox Jew criticise me for not following the bible so strictly myself, and I'm Jewish.

Jews tend not to proselytize (sp?).  I went to an Orthodox Hebrew school and synagogue as a child.  Many in my neighborhood did even though most were not Orthodox (it was a convenient location and affordable school).  Never, never did I hear or hear of any criticisms, either.

Tell that to secular Israelis ;)
"As I write, highly civilized human beings are flying overhead, trying to kill me.

They do not feel any enmity against me as an individual, nor I against them. They are ‘only doing their duty’, as the saying goes. Most of them, I have no doubt, are kind-hearted law-abiding men who would never dream of committing murder in private life."

Problem is that you add people from your past to facebook but then find out that they are the complete opposite. My whinge is those stupied apps and the inbox messages being sent at the moment. You are not going to cure breast cancer by copy and pasting in my inbox. /moan end

Well, primarly the domination of civil law in Israel by the (Orthodox) Chief Rabbinate despite Orthodox Jews composing a minority of the country. But also Yeshiva students avoiding military service, the domination of the Jerusalem municipal government by Orthodox parties, the structuring of the welfare state to support Orthodox lifestyles, etc... Admittedly Ben-Gurion cut the deal, but originally the religious groups had agreed to stay in the synagogues. Now there are riots at parking lots open on Shabbat in secular parts of Jerusalem. Or, for example, the fact that drivers will avoid certain neighbourhoods in Jerusalem on Shabbat because there is a tendency for the youth to throw rocks at cars.

Secular Israelis often get rather upset about these things, especially the marriage regulations and the military-service exemption.

I have bite my tongue... well fingers... on a regular basis. I went to a private Baptist highschool and constantly get updates like

"Even though I have very little experience around babies I feel as if I am prepared for fatherhood for the first time. In a way, I have been preparing my whole life by talking to my liberal democrat friends. All they do is cry, whine, spout out crap, and expects other people to do everything for them instead of doing it for themselves. Sounds just like a baby to me."

and

"When a person refuses to accept facts that conflict with deeply held beliefs psycologists call it "cognitive dissonance". It's a mental condition that allows a person to filter information and only accepts whatever validates their opinions and they can discard the rest. That's fascinating! And I thought democrats were just stupid but apparantly they're crazy!"

from one particular individual. While this alone is annoying enough, there are always at least ten other people who "like this" or leave comments saying how amazingly insightful the posts are.
