BA is having a sale for the next ten days... 209 each way though for May I'm still getting 2100 for the three of us.

Be careful of BA as there are talks of strikes again.

Looks safe now:

I am the go-to person whenever my friends need cheap(ish) travel deals.  9 times out of 10, I can always dig up a good deal.  There is no trick - you just have to have the time and patience to look at multiple sites at different times of the day and strike immediately when you see something lower than average.   I second Vayama as a good starting point.

Remember when you see sales they are only for certain seats on certain flights, so actually getting the sale price is harder than it may appear.

ETA:  Unfortunately I think the $700 tickets mentioned before are ok prices for that time of the year (especially since Virgin's fight at that price is non-stop).  I dont imagine they will go much lower than that, honestly.

Hello there.......I live south of Glasgow, and I find that KLM, has some great flight prices....and US airways...good price...I fly to Seattle, or Houston....

Good Luck to you ....!!!! I like to go through the airline, not booking services..so you may be able to find cheaper flights through a booking service....

            Happy Travels,  Cheryl

Hi there,

In addition to the main larger web based travel sites, I'll suggest a couple more that I've used recently to get really good priced flights. As per usual, when it comes to hunting for the best price you can get, for me I find that you must keep checking individual sites time and time again over a period of about 2 days and keep comparing the prices against one another. On my recent trip to Vegas in early Novemeber 09, I did this and as I had multiple flights LHR>ATL>LV and then LV>chicago>cincinnati then cincinnati>ATL>LHR - I found the best flight price of around $950USD for the lot via this site

http://www.airlineconsolidator.com/

On my most recent trip to Vegas again, 2 weeks ago, I had a similar multiple stops requirement and I paid around £740 GBP via Lastminute as the other site was coming up with allsorts of convoluted routes and added silly 8 and 12 hour stopovers.

~Another site is -http://www.cheapoair.com/

These both are US based websites so keep checking them and comparing to say the Kayaks, Expedias, Lastminutes etc of this world. Between them all, you should find a good priced fare.

Hope this helps!

Cheers, DtM! West London & Slough UK!
