Did anyone's parents pay (or yourself) for the wedding that was in the UK with a credit card? Was the rate exchange terrible?

I'm terrified about the exchange rate if we decide to marry in the UK. Anyone else feeling the same way?

I got married last June and the exchange rate wasn't great ... but what can you do? If your parents are paying for your wedding and if you're going to get married in the UK, then that's what you have to deal with so there's no point being terrified. We waited for a so-so rate and then my father transferred a load of money over to my UK account, and then I paid for things here out of that. It seemed to work better than having him do it each time from the US.
