ANYONE FROM NORTH CAROLINA ???????

ive made one friend on here already that is from the same area i am-asheville nc............she has actually just made her move to nottingham which is only about 50 miles from birmingham where im moving to in november........is there anyone else from our neck of the woods?

I'm not from North Carolina, but I've been living in Greensboro for the past 5 years or so.  If everything works out as it is somewhat-planned, I'll be living in Nottingham sometime next fall

The next time my BF is here, i was thinking of taking him out to asheville, since we still haven't been to the Biltmore Estate yet--and it seems everyone who's coupled up in this state goes there at some point in the relationship!

ahhhhhh youre only 3 hours away from asheville........oh yea we all have to hit biltmore estate at some point-very romantic........let me know when you are coming and maybe we can meet up for coffee.......english holly on here is living in nottingham........i think its great for us to get to know each other and we can meet up in the uk sometimes.......very nice to meet you.

I'm already over here (living in Cambridge) but I grew up in Greensboro and went to school in Chapel Hill.  I love Asheville!  If we ever move back to the States, Asheville is one of my top considerations for where to end up!

hey did you see the other post of greensboro......ive went to a few tattoo conventions in greensboro........as i said above im trying to get a network of friends so that we can do a meet up after i arrive.......how far is cambridge from birmingham.......asheville is surely not the same place it was when i moved here 10 yrs ago......lots of commercialization........but its very very hard to leave these beautiful mountains

Mainly Sumter, and Bishopville,  but went to school at FDTC .... I also lived at the beach a few times.

Sounds like a plan   Birmingham is awesome... Have you had a chance to go to Cadbury World yet?  Man I about died and gone to heaven in that place... they practically had to drag me away!

i think they're around 3 hours by train?  i've found that the trains between most cities aren't very good and that it's usually easier to meet someone in london, since most places have better rail links to london.  i have a friend who lives in nottingham and even though cambridge is technically closer, she can get to london way easier than cambridge. 

i have heard that asheville has been through a lot of changes...it seems many places in north carolina have been.  i'm always in shock whenever i go back at how much things have changed!

i think london is a perfect meeting place......all the art museums etc.......i have to learn how to do the buses and trains.........yea asheville just isnt asheville anymore......we have 3 super walmarts, 2 targets, 2 petsmarts, etc. .........you would not even reconize airport road.......its really is saddening.......even in the mtns so many abandoned developments......gated communities.......even if i werent heading to the uk i would be leaving here........id go to hot springs.....that hasnt changed much at all......only 45 minutes away
