ANYONE FROM NORTH CAROLINA ???????

.id go to hot springs.....that hasnt changed much at all......only 45 minutes away

ohhh, i haven't been there but have been dying to go at some point!  a few people i know vacation there every year and it sounds fantastic! 

hot springs is awesome.......very small quiet town located by the french broad river.......couple of restaurants and bars........nothing is better than on a cold winter night to go sit outside in a nice hot tub and listen to the river going by

I want to go to London to the art museums but the people I know here aren't interested in that sort of thing.  I went down once when there was a Dali exhibition and I was beside myself to go in but nope

i will go with you to the museums anytime.......once spring comes i would like to make a monthly day trip to london to go to museums.........so we shall make plans........tar-get oh yes i will miss that store......lol

OMG OMG........thats too cool.......we are getting married here in asheville on may 28th......there is a woman on here from burnsville that is living in nottingham......english holly.......we all have to do a meet up......so when are you moving......im planning on the move for nov 1st........ill send you a pm with my facebook acct.......add me.....oh this is so exciting.......id love to meet up for coffee sometime before you leave.....steff

I heard my name was being thrown around, so I thought I would pop my head in.  Hey guys! I'm Holly and originally from the Asheville area, a tiny middle of nowhere place called Spruce Pine. Now I'm married to an Englishman & living in Nottingham. It would be so great to meet up with some of you! Sometimes it would just be nice to hear someone else with our unique accent. hehe

We should definitely all plan a North Carolina meet up once everyone has made it to the UK!

Not really close to Birmingham, but I wanted to say hello to my fellow North Carolinians. I currently live in Glasgow; I was born in Durham NC, grew up in Wilmington, and moved here after working in Greensboro for 5 years. I definitely miss it, although I love it over here.

I am not in NC but just on the other side of the Border in Little River SC!  I just moved here 2 years ago to be with my family a while. 

Hi, I'm re-awakening this dormant thread.  I'm about to move to London in June and am from NC; I currently live in Raleigh but did my undergrad in Greensboro, grew up in Salisbury, and have had family living outside Columbia, SC for several years.  Maybe when I make it over I can get together with some folks!  Unfortunately my luggage will be pretty full of my own belongings so there won't be room for Cheerwine, ha ha!

I am from North Carolina and planning on coming to the UK in January 2011. I am engaged to an English girl and will be living in Chessington, Surrey. I am living in Wilmington, NC now. I am really scared of the move and dealing with immigration and such. We are planning on getting married later on in 2011. Do I get 6 months on my US passport in the UK? What is the best way to move to the UK on a work or standard visa? I am really afraid of leaving my friends, and my lifestyle. Has anyone had to deal with this? PLEASE HELP!!!!.....Steve
