American in London looking for a new flatmate- Stoke Newington
« on: January 26, 2010, 01:14:45 PM »
Hi,

I'm looking for a new flatmate to move in with me in a 2-bedroom flat on Stoke Newington Church Street. It's an amazing area of London- great if you like organic food, cafes, parks, vintage shops. The area is between Highbury and Hackney. If you only know London by the tube map, you may not have heard of it, but it's actually an extremely convenient place to live with great bus links and an overground train that goes into the City.

I am a 33 year old American female who has lived in the UK for about 6 years and work in academia. I play roller derby in my spare time and also enjoy running, travelling and socialising out in London with friends. I'm still loving all the strange events and sights London has to offer. At home, I am a laid back person who enjoys cooking and occasionally nights in watching tv and having some wine.

The room has a large bed (about queen sized) and also my previous flatmate has left a DIY wardrobe and bookshelves. I have a lot of kitchen equipment and other furniture for the rest of the flat. The flat has a nice shower, a dishwasher, a balcony, a communal garden, lovely views of a historic cemetery, bike storage in the building, wireless broadband and the kitchen and living room are separate. The rent for your half would be £650/month plus bills which would be about another £100. There are references and a deposit of a month and a half's rent required.

If you are interested in the room and have any questions or would like to see the flat (or know someone else who might be interested), please let me know! It's available as of this weekend (30 Jan 2010).
