How easy would it be to do our own US taxes?
« on: February 04, 2010, 01:21:48 PM »
My husband and I didn't live in the US at all in 2009. Our W2s came the other day detailing how much we made through our companies in the US.

Basically, we made a few thousand bucks combined through company stock. I am not really sure how complicated this is, as we didn't bring ANY of it over to the UK. Could we just do our own taxes and file 1040s with the W2s we have and call it good?

We were going to hire someone to do our taxes, as we did last year because it was so complicated. But because we didn't live there at all this year, maybe it's a bit more simple?

Thoughts?

Thanks!

It's pretty easy.  You need Forms 1040 and 2555, primarily.
