Final Questions about ILE application

I'm just at the point of finally getting my application materials together for my spousal settlement visa.  I'm going for ILE instead of FLE because we've been married for 10yrs and I've passed the Life in UK test this January.

I have a couple of questions for anyone who has knowledge about this particular type of application:

1. I see a lot of people have their spousal visas approved rather quickly through an expediter, but should I expect the same turnaround on an ILE spousal visa or do you think it will take longer?  Anyone gotten one lately? 

2. I assume that I am just going to write in that I took the Life in UK test on the application and then include it with the other documents correct?

3. Should I write up a letter stating that I'm expecting an ILE and NOT a KOL Req'd visa?  I'm worried that this doesn't happen very often and will get misapplied.

4. I received a national insurance number in the UK when I was there, but I don't remember what it was and have not retained the documents that could tell me.  When I was in the UK this January I applied to get the number but have not received anything back.  I did confirm with the helplines in the UK that they have a number for me, but they won't give it to you over the phone.  Can I say yes, but state "unkown number" on the application or is this going to cause a big problem? 

5. I received the equivalent of FLE in the year 2000 (when we got married) but it expired without me getting permanent residency because we left for the US.  I don't know what type of visa that was at the time.  I also had a work visa for intracompany transfer.  How accurate does my description have to be of these items on the application?  They are in an old passport that will be included in the documents anyway - will that suffice?

6. My husband is planning to transfer with his company (a US company that operates in the UK).  We are unlikely to get much in the way of writing from them about the transfer because it's a US company and we're in an at will employment state.  Would a letter from his boss stating that they intend to transfer him in the same position be enough to prove that he'll be employed when we move?  I know that the application talks about an "employment contract" but you don't get those here in the states usually.

1. It will take about the same amount of time.

2. You need to put it in the 'Additional Information' Section that you have your pass certificate and are providing proof that you have lived together the required 4 years outside the UK -- like copies of your 1040's for the 4 years (and such).

3. You should include a cover letter just to make sure.

4. Not an issue just check yes that you have one but that you do not recall what it is.

5. Clarification please...did you receive a spousal visa IN the UK or a spousal visa issued OUTSIDE the UK...if it was in the UK then it was an FLR(M) (Further Leave to Remain)...if it was outside the UK then you received a Spousal Visa or LLE (Limited Leave to Enter)...There is no such thing as an FLE (Further Leave to Enter).

6. Letter from Boss should be OK and you should see if the letter can include how much he would be earning as well.

I got it in the UK so it was the FLR(M), I love that I'm making up my own immigration statuses.
