What kind of kick are you on?
« on: February 25, 2010, 07:07:34 AM »
Sooo...I'm coming to the realization that I have a very addictive personality.

At the moment, I seem to be on a tuna casserole kick. I've probably made three batches of it in the last two weeks. And I can eat the stuff at any time of the day; in fact, I just finished a plate of it an hour ago (10pm).

So, I ask, what kind of kick are you on or what does your addictive personality lend itself to?

I'm always addicted to dairylea cheese. It's the processed cheese food of the gods.  :)

I don't have one currently, but noticing that there are 10 tins of tuna in the cupboard and a bag of M&S Egg noodles, I might have to make a tuna casserole one night this week...

However, I am now contemplating making a sweet noodle kugel....dunno if its going to be a kick, but I am on maternity leave and have no money...so this might be the thing for me to do!!!

I'm on a Six Feet Under kick at the minute. I don't know how I missed all those episodes in years past. I'm on the last season now, so I won't know what to do with myself once I'm done.  :-\\\\

Donuts. It's become so bad that everyone has begun to notice.

Tomorrow I have one of the IT guys at work going all the way to Oldham (from Leeds) to pick some Krispy Kreme donuts up at a station on the M62. In exchange I've promised to bake them cookies.

I blame the babies.

Wow, that is a bit of a trek (FIL lives in Oldham, so I know!)--he's very sweet to do that for you!

TV show-wise it's Cold Case.  I'd never watched it before, but it takes place in Philadelphia so it's really cool to see my old stomping grounds.

Food-wise, hmmm--I've been on a tomato sauce (as in pasta sauce, not ketchup)kick since I was a kid--I must have at least a couple times a week.  It's a kick that has stayed with me all my life.

I've recently broken a hummus kick.  I used to be addicted to it for more than a decade, eating it with a spoon for breakfast or lunch!  Now I go for weeks without eating it at all and I'm fine.

Holy crap, I just started love the stuff...I feel another kick coming on. I just need to learn how to make it. I've heard it's uber easy!

They don't but they will. They discovered Twinkies last week. They're now pretty excited about the donuts.

It's very sweet but he's only doing it for the cookies. The IT dept bug me on a weekly basis to bake for them. I mentioned that I'd only bake before the babies are born if they got me Krispy Kremes which I've been craving and a deal was struck. Ha ha.

I live right near the Krispy Kreme in Manchester, I drive past it regularly. I might have to pop in tomorrow for a dozen donuts. Thanks people for reminding this pregnant lady of all these foods!
