thanks for all the suggestions. I am not thrilled by feeding the kitten Whisks and know that there are better things out there. Will have a look around

I'm actually a huge fan of the Science Diet dry food I've been feeding my cat for all of his 17 years.  Up until recently he's been 100% healthy with a nice lean body.

I'm moving to London in about 2 weeks.  Does anyone know if I'll be able to buy Science Diet over there?  I plan on packing a couple bags to tide us over.

If you mean Hill Science Diet, it's everywhere. I'm not sure if that's what you're talking about though.  :-\\\\

Yes - that's it.  Great to know that I don't have to worry about stocking up beforehand.

Yes - that's it.  Great to know that I don't have to worry about stocking up beforehand.

Just something to note -- the formulations for the "same" food can be different region to region, caloric content included.  Our cats eat Hills Prescription D/D and the UK version is definitely physically different than the US version.  We'd (pfft -- it was all me, in my insanity devotion) done a ton of research on what was available and wanted to make the move as smooth as possible for our two ultra-picky geriatric kitties.  In the end, though, they like the new formulation as much as the old, so no issue there.

And a big huge THANK YOU to all who have suggested Applaws.  I ordered the chicken selection box of small tins yesterday in an effort to entice our girl kitty (who is ill and needs to gain weight).  She devoured the chicken and pumpkin -- licking the bowl clean!   ;D
