ILR Application Processing Times

Just sent my IRL Set M application.
Mailed Special Delivery Jan. 3, 2013...
Received Jan. 4, 2013...
Money took out Jan. 4, 2013...
Received reference number and letter from UKBA with comformation Jan. 10, 2013...
Now, the wait begins...

My timeline so far:

Sent off SET(M) application: 3 December
Received by UKBA:4 December
Money taken out of account: 5 December
Received letter and ref. no from UKBA: 10 December (letter dated 6 Dec)
Biometric letter received: 11 January (letter dated 8 January)
Biometric information taken at post office: 15 January

Now back to waiting... does anyone know if the processing times are becoming shorter?

Sept 18- received UKBA letter that app was received
Nov  19- received biometrics letter, biometrics taken at post office
Jan  17- still waiting.......

I submitted my wife's SETM application form on the 15.10.12, aknowlodg few days later, biometric received after 6weeks and done immediately.
18 january still waiting it is coming to 14weeks now ?
Anyone have an idea what is the waiting time please ?

Hubby applied through the document checking service on 23/10/12, biometrics request was six weeks later, he did this at the post office the next day, still waiting.

I applied the beginning of September 2012 and just received mine 2 weeks ago.  Just over 4 months wait and that was through the holiday season.

Guys, I could not deal with the waiting times so I went for the premium option at croydon. Stacked with every possible document spanning 2 years with my wife in the UK, I still had a lump in my throat.

My appointment was for 12:30 and I arrived early. Paid the premium fee then proceeded to biometrics. Once that was done I waited for my ticket to be called. Finally o handed over my file with my wife present, the caseworker promised not to be too long but it felt like a year. 30 mins later she calls my ticket, my wife and I walk over and we hear the beautiful words, "you have been granted ilr".

So 3 hrs in all and we were panicking not to mention 12 weeks. My heart goes out to you all.

Jan 25- received ILR approval!!!!!!!! And a few hours later received my BRP.

My Wife's ILR Application Timeline:
Applied on 15th Dec 2012
Home Office received on 18th Dec 2012
Money taken out 21st Dec 2012
Bio metric letter received 15th Jan 2013
Biometric done on 16th Jan 2013
and the wait starts.......

and my visa expiring in June 28th 2013, I have to have my wife's Visa done before mine get expires, now I am seriously worried, ifthe processing time goes over 6 months then I am trapped!
