Those are pocket nappies so don't need a wrap.   ;D   But that is part of the reason I'm not worried about buying cheaper (and maybe not so cute) nappies for 'regular' use...they're usually going to be hidden under clothes anyway.  Just wanted a few cute ones to show off every now and then.

looked the brand up online.  They are awfully cute, but I definitely couldn't do a system with those.  They are steep!  It is fun to have a few that just make you giggle b/c they are cute though.

Yeah they're not cheap at all.  Actually a bit cheaper than the Blueberry Minky that I fell in love with before I found those.  They are birth to potty though...so that helps justify the price.  Plus I just won a bid for 12 Bum Genius pocket nappies for £11 (total!) so I justified it to my hubby by pointing out that those would have been around £108 had I bought them new.   ;D

Wow! Where did you win those?! Was it that usednappies.co.uk website?! I keep trying to look out for BumGenius because I only have five, but I've decided I really love them (NEVER had a leak) and we've used our five as the "night time diaper" as they work so well for us. So I want more! Hah!

We won 14 Tots Bots bamboozles from usednappies with 8 covers, 6 boosters, etceteraetcetera at usenappies for £25. Love that website.

Yep I got them from usednappies.co.uk.  I'm starting to love the site too.  My hubby was laughing at me last night for getting excited about the stuff I won on there.  I then pointed out how much money I was saving us and he found it exciting also.

It is such a handy site.  I've had some from there that I loved and some that were not in great shape, but I've been able to use them still.

I can't remember if I've mentioned it in this particular thread, but my other favourite money saver has been using cloth wipes.  It sounded like more work, so I didn't try them right off, but I've actually found them to be less work than disposables.  If I'm using the disposable wipes I have to separate them out from my flushable liners and the wash and figure out what I'm doing with them--not super bad when it's just wet, but kinda nasty when they are poopy.  I find it much easier to just use the cloth wipes then throw them in together with the nappy to be washed.

If you look at what you'll save using those, you'll find they often cover the cost of your whole nappy system.  You can buy them yourself, but I had a few I liked that a friend made.  Once I saw I liked them, I just went to a fabric store and bought some flannel and other soft fabrics which I sewed together.  It was super-easy, and I used some of the fabric to make a bunch of cheap face/hand wipes for the kitchen after meals as well.

Yes I have jumped on that also!  I bought an entire kit from Cheeky Wipes which included 2 plastic containers (one for clean and one for dirty), 2 wet bags for taking out (clean and dirty), a mesh bag, 2 essential oil bottles (lavender and tea tree) and 20 wipes.  It was a bit expensive but I bought it more for the accessories than the actual wipes.  I'll probably pick up a few more wipes so they will last a few days (think I'll have to buy because I can't even sew a button!).  I'm so excited about all this stuff...just can't wait to try all this out on Little Munchkin Man when he gets here!

that's interesting.  I'm trying to figure out why a container for the dirty wipes--seems like adding a step when one isn't needed.  I just throw mine in the nappy bin with the nappy.  Even if I'm out I just roll the nappy up with them in it and put it in a biodegradable nappy bag till I get home and throw it in the bucket.  I just keep my clean ones in a tupperware-type container.  Cloth wipes are definitely handy and if you are washing each day or two, you'll always have a supply of clean ones.  I did end up with a big pile though since I use them all the time.
