Citizenship fees 2010/11?
« on: March 28, 2010, 03:36:05 PM »
Hello to anyone who can clarify this for me...I just had a look at the citizenship fees for citizenship. The citizenship fee from april 6 2009 is £720.  The fee for 2010/11 says £655. Is this correct or am I looking at the wrong fee? Thanks for any help given.

You have to have a ceremony and the ceremony costs money, so I believe the difference between the two is the fee for the ceremony.

But perhaps the fee has been lowered?  I am not sure on this one, but someone will be along shortly.

I asked the same question a bit back when I was shocked to see that.  Somebody else also told me that the ceremony probably wasn't included in that fee.  It's a bit misleading as the ceremony was always included in the listed price on the old list and if it isn't part of the price, I think they should have the ceremony listed in the group of expenses.

I think the citizen ceremony fee is another £80 on top.

That sounds like it could be correct...Maybe they just didnt include the ceremony fee? That would put the total at £735 instead of the £720 price. Hopefully some can confirm this for me. Thanks for your help.
