US Taxes - Visa type
« on: April 05, 2010, 04:56:55 PM »
TurboTax is asking the type of Visa under which I entered the country.  Do I enter the visa I originally came into the country on, even if it no longer applies?

If you are filing a 1040 as a US citizen you have no US visa so I don't understand the question?

It's a question that's asked when completing the 2555 form.

I'll look at my previous return and see if that's included in the form.

I put the visa I am currently here on.  I entered first on BUNAC, then on fiance, now have FLR(M) so I just put FLR(M).
