Does anyone know if dogs living in London need to be treated for heartworm on a monthly basis?? Year round or seasonally??

The best advice I can give you is to go have a chat with your veterinarian and he/she will tell you all about it :-) But to ease your fears: Heartworm is not currently endemic in the UK, and so if your dogs are going to be staying in the UK they do not need to be treated for it. However it is present on the continent, so bear that in mind if you travel with them.

There are other parasites you need to worry about in the South of England (especially Angiostrongylus) but if you have a chat with your vet they will determine what your dog/s is/are at risk of and help you devise a deworming protocol for them.
